rmsmithstudio

rmsmith is known for diversity in her subject matter and artistic styles.  She gravitates toward depth and colour potency.  She also sculpts and so she loves to do more dimensional paintings on roughened canvases. She has been described by buyers as AN ARTIST THAT CAPTURES YOUR EYE AND IMAGINATION.  The sheer intensity of her works makes you want to share some of her passion.  You can feel the forces that drive her in her use of colour.

She has worked alongside other national and international artists.  She has informally studied different forms of international native art styles while traveling the world.  She has spent time in North and South America, Australia, Afrika, Asia, Europe, and many islands, discovering and working alongside  some of their national artists.

Although rmsmith was online at rmsmithgallery.com and rmsmithstudio.com, she is now displaying solely on www.constellationII.com.   You will not find a complete collection of her works, but rather segments, which span over a number of years, and many of these works are in PRIVATE AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIONS.  This site is meant to give you a sense of her artistic ability and style.  If you would like to PURCHASE any of rmsmith art works, you can contact her through this website.

Her work has been condensed and put into this web address, so you can glimpse her artistic talent.  Enjoy the vignettes from paintings, sculpture, poetry, prose, and novellas which span over twenty-five years.  She is an artist who has roamed and explored our planet - across whole continents, countries, oceans and seas - with HER EYES WIDE OPEN!

Proceeds from rmsmith original art go toward establishing the rmsmithsstudio foundation (helping breast cancer survivors (areola and nipple repigmentation), burn and accident victims (scar camouflage), and helping our fragile oceans.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY

rmsmith has a very eclectic skill set,  rmsmith spent 20 years educating and counseling children and adolescents. rmsmithfounded Galt House Academy, a private school for gifted and remedial children in London, Ontario and surrounding communities.  For 15 years, rmsmith taught within Galt House Academy until leaving Galt House behind to take an incredible sea journey.  While in London, rmsmith raced and sailed on the Great Lakes, and after leaving Galt House Academy, rmsmith went to sea and spent years on the high seas and became a 200T MCA commercially endorsed captain. rmsmith  worked as a delivery and charter captain, did refits on boats, and spent working with local communities.  During  rmsmith's travels, she met Melany Whitney, (New York City) micropigmentologist and leading expert in micropigmentology, and between deliveries and sea journeys, began training as a micropigmentolgist with Melany Whitney, (New York City), Mary J. Haake (Portand, Oregon), and many others. rmsmith now lives in Vancouver, British Columbia and has started an amazing art and micropigmentology studio (rmsmithstudo) and continues working with others to help breast cancer survivors, burn and accident victims, helping our fragile oceans.

rmsmith is active in the international yachting community, and is using her great connections with international yacht owners, to raise funds to continue her work with international communities in caring for our fragile oceans, and raising funds to help local breast cancer survivors (areola and nipple repigmentation) and burn and accident victims (scar camouflage).
